Butte College is a two-year community college in northern California, located between the towns of Paradise, Oroville and Chico. The Butte campus is situated on a wildlife refuge, about 80 miles north of Sacramento, the state capital.

Butte College is part of the Butte-Glenn Community College District. The campus relies on solar energy for more than 45% of its power, making it the largest solar powered campus in California. Butte has been recognized nationally in campus sustainability.

Butte College is regionally accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
