School Overview

The Billings College of Technology was founded in 1969 as the City College at MSU Billings (Montana State University – Billings) – a two-year vocational-technical training school. In 1987, complete oversight and governance of City College were given to the Montana University System, at which time the college was renamed the College of Technology (a.k.a. Billings College of Technology). In 1994, the college officially become a branch of Montana State University – Billings. Today, the institutions is a “comprehensive two-year college arm” for MSU Billings. The College of Technology offers a large variety of two-year associate degrees and career-focused technical programs in various fields of study including nursing/healthcare, computer technology, business, and automotive mechanics and technology, among many others.
