College Degree Finder

Bellevue College is a four-year higher education institution located in the city of Bellevue, Washington. The college was founded in 1966 as Bellevue Community College, a two-year institution that offered associate degrees and academic certificates. In 2009, its name was changed to Bellevue College to reflect its new status as a four-year bachelor’s degree granting institution‐although it still offers a comprehensive selection of two-year associates degrees and certificates.

Bellevue College is the largest of the member institutions that belong to the Washington State Community and Technical College System, which together represent over 500,000 students. Bellevue College alone has a total annual enrollment of nearly 38,000 students.

Even though Bellevue College now offers four-year bachelor’s degrees, the vast majority of its programs are comprised of two-year associate degrees and professional/technical certificates. For students intent on attending a four-year college or university after graduation, Bellevue College offers transfer degrees that cover the first two years of a bachelor’s degree program. In addition to degrees and certificates, Bellevue offers several pre-college and continuing education programs.

Bellevue offers campus-based, distance education and online degree programs to fit the varying schedules of its students. Students interested in earning their degree online must first be accepted to Bellevue’s campus program.

Bellevue is fully accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. In addition, many of its individual programs hold special accreditation status.
