This program is designed to prepare students, in consultation with other rehabilitation team members or in private practice, to use drawing and other art media forms to treat, assess, and rehabilitate individuals with mental, developmental, emotional, or physical disorders. This program frequently includes in depth instruction in art, art therapeutic techniques, history and theory of art therapy, patient assessment and diagnosis, psychopathology, legal and ethical practice issues, cultural diversity issues, and professional standards and regulations.
