The Art Institute of Seattle (abbreviated AIS) is one of more than 50 Art Institutes located across the United States and Canada. It is owned by Education Management Corporation (EDMC), a for-profit, publicly traded company that is based in the city of Pittsburgh, in the state of Pennsylvania. As its name suggests, the Art Institute of Seattle is located in Seattle, Washington–downtown Seattle in the Belltown district to be precise. It provides career-oriented degrees and programs in various disciplines but primarily in design, fashion, media arts and culinary arts.

AIS offers undergraduate programs at both the associate’s and bachelor’s levels. Degrees awarded include the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Associate of Applied Arts (A.A.A.). The institute also offers diploma programs.

Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees are offered in video production, game art, graphic design, photography, fashion design, interior design, animation, and media arts. Four-year Bachelor of Science degrees are offered in culinary arts management, industrial design, fashion marketing, audio design, interactive media and web design.

Two-year Associate of Applied Arts degrees are offered in animation art and design, culinary arts, baking and pastry, interior design, photography, industrial design, fashion marketing, fashion design, audio production, graphic design, web design, video production, and interactive media.

AIS currently offers four diploma programs: Digital Design, The Art of Cooking, Digital Design, and Baking & Pastry. Diploma programs are one to two years in duration.

The Art Institute of Seattle is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
