The Art Institute is a for-profit institution that is owned and operated by Education Management Corporation which is headquartered in Pennsylvania. The school offers an extensive selection of career-oriented programs in Game Art & Design, Web Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Audio Production, Media Arts & Animation, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Fashion & Retail Management, Culinary Arts, and Culinary Management.

The Inland Empire campus offers students a cutting-edge motion capture studio as well as a popular on-campus restaurant, Bistro 31, which is frequently featured on the local television CBS 2/KCAL 9 News’s “TV Diner” segments. The campus is also located near much of the entertainment industry, with neighbor companies including CBS, ABC, Disney, Columbia, Paramount, and Universal Studios.

Upon graduation many of The Art Institute students have gone on to achieve successful careers with corporations such as film makers EFilm and game developers Heavy Iron Studios, to name just a couple. Other graduates have found work as chefs in popular restaurants including Belamar Hotel and Valencia Country Club. Nearly 8 in 10 Art Institute of California graduates from the Inland Empire campus are able to find gainful employment within 6 months of graduation.
