The Art Institute of Atlanta, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is a college that provides education in the creative and applied arts. Originally founded in 1949 as Massey Business College, the school gradually shifted its focus to an art-based curriculum, adding programs in fashion, design, and liberal arts, and officially became the Art Institute of Atlanta in 1975.
The Art Institute of Atlanta is part of the Art Institute system, which consists of more than forty colleges across the North American continent. Over 150,000 students have graduated from the Art Institutes as of 2005.
Atlanta’s Art Institute offers associate and bachelor degree programs in numerous areas, including media, fashion, design, and culinary arts. In addition to Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees, the school has programs for Bachelor of Arts degrees and Bachelor of Science degrees. Non-degree and diploma programs are also available.
The Art Institute of Atland also offers a limited selection of online degree programs, as well as courses that can be completed online.
