The Art Institute of Houston represents just one of five locations the school has in Texas. The Art Institute of Houston offers programs in fashion design, culinary and baking arts, and media and website design. The school was founded in 1965 as the Houston School of Commercial Art. The school later became a part of the Art Institutes network of schools in 1978. In 1990 the school moved to Houston, Texas, where it has grown steadily and gained popularity.
