School Overview
Arapahoe Community College is located in Littleton, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. Also known as ACC, it enrolls more than 18,000 non-credit and credit students every year. ACC is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
ACC students can pursue a degree or certification in more than one hundred fields of study. The college hosts the Great Books Program, in which students earn certification that is accepted by many four-year universities. The Great Books Program is endorsed by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Arapahoe was founded in 1965 as Arapahoe Junior College. It was the very first community college in the Denver metropolitan area. Today the college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
