This educational program focuses on one or more of the languages native to the African continent, including, but not limited to, Bantu languages, Niger-Congo languages, Nilo-Saharan languages, and the Chadic and Ethiopic languages of the Hamito-Semitic language family. This program frequently includes in depth instruction in dialects, philology, and written and oral literatures.
