Founded in 1925, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (more commonly referred to as Embry-Riddle and abbreviated ERAU) is a privately owned and operated, four-year coeducational university with locations in Daytona, Florida and Prescott, Arizona. As its name denotes, Embry-Riddle focuses on aviation and aerospace education as it relates to both the science and business side of the industry. Embry-Riddle also offers an online, international education program, known as Embry-Riddle Worldwide, which comprises a network of more than 150 campuses. Embry-Riddle is reported by Aircraft Maintenance Technology (a AMTSociety publication) to be one of the most highly respected Aerospace Engineering schools in the nation.
