Shawnee State University
Shawnee State University (SSU) is a public university in Portsmouth, Ohio. It is the state’s newest state-supported institution of higher learning. SSU has over 4,300 students and a student faculty ratio of 18:1. Each year the school provides its students with over $1.5 million in merit and needs-based scholarships. SSU offers over 80 associate and bachelor’s degree programs and several master's degree programs.
