This photography major/program focuses on the principles and techniques of communicating information, moods, ideas, and feelings through the creation of images on photographic plates, film, and digital images and that may prepare individuals to be professional photographic artists. This program includes in depth instruction in camera and equipment operation and maintenance, light and composition, film and plate developing, films and printing media, photographic art, use of computer applications to record or enhance images, color and special effects, photographic history, and applications to the photography of various subjects.
