Cameron University
Cameron University is a state-funded university in Lawton, Oklahoma. The school offers over 50 degrees within the areas of science, the liberal arts, technology, and professional and graduate studies. It is the only school in Oklahoma which offers associate's, bachelor's, and master’s degrees all at the same site.
Cameron employs many resources to ensure students have adequate access to the school. Students at Cameron can participate in evening classes, utilize the internet to attend class from anywhere in the world. Students also have access to the Army ROTC program, teacher certification programs, pre-professional studies, cooperative education, and independent study. Cameron offers an honors program, advanced standing, early admission, and college-level examination programs. The honors program does require that students perform at or above average on on national assessment exams. Over half of new students entering Cameron require remedial work due to lower than average performance on ACT, SAT and other standardized examinations.
